Norman Haney, LCSW, MAC

Norman Haney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work and over thirty years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families pursue healing and restoration. His career includes impactful work in youth centers, state correctional systems, psychiatric hospitals, and leadership roles within residential mental health agencies. These experiences have equipped Norman with a deep understanding of the human heart and the many ways people struggle—and overcome.

Norm specializes in couples counseling and addiction recovery, and he is widely known throughout the KCMO area for his ability to help those who feel “stuck,” discouraged, or overwhelmed finally experience meaningful progress. Many clients share that after trying several therapists without success, Norman’s clarity, spiritual insight, and steady support helped them find the breakthrough and hope they had been longing for.

As a therapist with a strong Christian foundation, Norman joyfully integrates faith into his counseling for those who desire it. He views each person as created by God with purpose, dignity, and the capacity for deep transformation. In sessions, Norman blends clinical expertise with biblical encouragement and Christ-centered principles that guide clients toward peace, renewal, and lasting change.

His direct yet compassionate style helps clients feel supported, challenged, and spiritually grounded—even in life’s most difficult seasons. Norman considers it an honor to walk with others as they seek God’s healing and direction.

A Personal Note From Norm

Ready to get started?

“What I enjoy most about counseling is building a genuine relationship with each client—learning their story, understanding their goals, and developing a plan together. I love seeing clients grow, especially when they begin to recognize missing coping skills, put new tools into practice, and start resolving challenges that once felt overwhelming. Watching hope return and seeing people experience peace and personal growth brings me great joy."
