Gregory Gay is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling and over 26 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. His background includes 14 years of pastoral counseling followed by more than a decade as a licensed professional counselor, giving him a deep, well-rounded understanding of emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges across the lifespan.

Greg works with both individuals and couples and is especially sought after for his extensive experience in treating substance use disorders. He is trained in the Gottman Method for couples therapy and frequently supports couples seeking to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and navigate relationship challenges with clarity and compassion. Greg also utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and other mental health concerns find meaningful change and lasting healing.

As a seminary-trained Christian counselor, Greg takes an ecumenical approach to therapy, welcoming clients of all faith backgrounds—or none at all—and allowing each person to integrate spirituality into counseling only if they desire. He is known for being relatable, non-judgmental, and meeting clients exactly where they are. Greg finds great fulfillment in walking alongside clients as they develop healthier coping skills, work through life’s difficulties, and move toward growth, healing, and hope.

A Personal Note From Greg

Ready to get started?

"What I like most about counseling is the satisfaction I get from being a part of a person's life as they work through a significant challenge in their lives and are improved for the experience. I have had the privilege of seeing this happen in both individuals and couples that I serve. Walking with people as they navigate challenges is what I believe I was born to do."

Testimonials

[Greg is] very understanding of our situation. Although I was completely at fault, I never felt like he was judging me but, instead, focused on helping us heal.

[Greg is] the first therapist I have found in years that I felt I connected with and that you genuinely cared about me and my husband and you helped create a safe space for hard conversations

Greg was open-minded and had a great sense of humor. He made my husband and I feel very comfortable and not judged. I highly recommend him.
