About Jennifer Darling, MSW, LCSW

Jennifer has a Masters degree in Social work and has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 15 years.  Her vast experience includes providing counseling and/or crisis intervention in a variety of mental health settings including in an emergency room, an in-patient setting, a high school and a nursing home .  Jennifer is effective at working with a variety of clients  ages 13 and over.

Jennifer specializes in helping anyone who is going through a difficult time whether that be due to stress and anxiety, grief/loss, depression, life changes, relationship/family issues, guilt/shame, trauma/abuse, or self-esteem issues. She also works with those experiencing post partum depression or other women's issues.  She is also trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a special therapy technique that is especially effective in working with mood disorders such as bipolar and borderline personality disorders.

Jennifer has a special passion in working with the elderly and geriatric population and the issues that come with aging.  She frequently works with those experiencing compassion fatigue, caregiver issues and stress, grief, chronic health issues, chronic pain, a terminal diagnosis, isolation/loneliness, feelings of emptiness  or a need for purpose in life.

Jennifer has a calm personality and is non-judgmental.  She listens and validates you by recognizing your personal strengths to help promote change and lifelong resilience. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy, solution based therapy and mindfulness techniques to help provide you with the skills you need to live a happier and more fulfilled life.
